Dr Anna McElrea
Dr Anna McElrea is a GP in Brisbane, with 3 (mostly) delightful children aged 6, 4 and 1. Anna graduated from the University of Queensland in 2006, and achieved her RACGP fellowship in 2011. Anna has worked at her current practice for the past 8 years, and enjoys the strong relationships she has established with her patients. She loves the flexibility and variety of working part-time as a GP, as well as the chance to spend some time at home with her kids. Anna has a child with special needs, and continues to learn to navigate the difficult dual roles of doctor and parent, well supported by the amazing MMAMTB Special Kids offshoot group.
Anna’s undergraduate degree was in International and Community Development, and she would one day like to go back to exploring this from a medical perspective.
